FOSTER CEMETERY (Prescott)

 FOSTER CEMETERY (Prescott)

Foster Cemetery is located about halfway between Bolles Jct and Prescott, or 1 1/2 miles West of Prescott on Highway 124 just off the highway to the North. It is on land originally claimed by Albert N. Brown, a Civil War Veteran, who came here in 1873 from Ohio. The cemetery shows clear signs of opened graves that are thought to have been moved to the Waitsburg Cemetery. The earliest burial was 1870 and the last was 1912. The Lucy A. Spalding who is buried here is the wife of Henry Spalding, said to be a son of the missionary, Henry Spalding, who came West with Marcus Whitman. Thanks to findagrave.com and interment.com.
